Maryland Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor #LC9390
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with a wide range of experience in the counseling field. I have worked in residential treatment centers, outpatient clinics, inpatient hospitals, and child/adolescent day programs. I have also worked in the school system and conducted emergency room psych evaluations. My specialties include: trauma, loss, relationship issues, parenting issues, self-esteem, socialization, anxiety, mood, life transitions, stress management, and ADHD.
My approach to therapy is largely cognitive/behavioral, and I utilize play therapy with most children. I enjoy using humor and a down-to-earth practical approach. My passion is to help clients access their inner resiliency while building skills to navigate the change process. These newfound changes allow my clients to live more fulfilling and successful lives.
In my work with children and adolescents (4-18), I enjoy working with the parent/guardian(s) as a team. I also enjoy working with young adults (19-36) and the unique transitions that often illustrate this age range.
