Throughout life we all face challenges, struggles and triumphs. Many, if not all of us have experienced loss, struggled to overcome fears, and have even lost ourselves to sadness and regret. Conversely, sometimes we find ourselves doing well, better than we could have hoped or imagined, and still we are scared by the possibilities and outcomes that lie before us. It is in these times that we all can benefit from having someone to talk to; having a space to organize our thoughts, express our concerns, and build confidence in ourselves and our path.
As a licensed clinical social worker, I believe in meeting my clients wherever they are, and more importantly moving at a pace that is both comfortable and challenging. Over my years in practice I have worked primarily with adults and couples and find some of the most rewarding work to be in these fields. My practice comes from a place of acceptance and I seek to help clients understand where they come from to inform where they are going and where they want to be.
If I could use one word to describe my therapeutic practice and style it would be patience. It is something I ask of myself as well as my clients. My approach is collaborative and we will work together to set goals, make progress, and get you to a place where you feel prepared to take on all the many challenges that life will throw at you.
