Interests

Ms. Cohen's specialty areas include working with children, adolescents, and families. Since joining New Perspectives in March 2004, she has expanded her clinical repertoire to also include working with individual adults. Ms. Cohen uses several treatment modalities including cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, bibliotherapy, and brief psychotherapy techniques.

Ms. Cohen has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including private practice, school, hospital, community mental health, outpatient clinic, and residential treatment settings. Her clinical experience includes working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, relationship discord, poor social skills, and low self-esteem.

Ms. Cohen is currently in the process of obtaining a mediation certification. She will become a certified mediator in April 2006.
