Learning to view a glass as half-full rather than
          half-empty, redefining problems as opportunities
for growth, or increasing one’s confidence
to view more options as viable might be the
new perspective that works in your situation.

Interests

In the past 20 years while in private practice, I have listened to and learned from many life stories, on person or one couple at a time.  Early in my life, I found my life’s work as a counselor.  It has always been exciting and rewarding for me to help others transform their lives, especially those dealing with addictions recovery, marital conflict resolution, or anxiety and depression.

As I see it, the healing process is a collaborative one where we work together to achieve your goals for coming to counseling.  My work has been influenced by the tenants of AA/NA including a spiritual component, reality therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy.

I like to work with all phases of the marriage life cycle; from pre-marital preparation to a marital tune up; to a marital crisis such as an affair or addiction; or to actual marital dissolution.  Sometimes, marital relationships don’t work out.  In those cases breaking up is very painful and hard to do.  As a domestic mediator, I help people find a totally private, less expensive, timelier, less cumbersome, and more compassionate resolution.

On a personal note, I am happily married for 39 years, have one daughter and two grandsons who are really fun to play with and talk to.
