About Me
Hi! Thank you for viewing my profile. Taking the first steps to a counseling session can be scary, but it is also a courageous act in understanding oneself and living a more engaging life. It can be a rewarding experience that will resonate both for the present and the future. My philosophy in providing care is with a "helping others help themselves" approach. I believe that each individual has the ability to change and grow in their journey. In sessions I provide a safe, compassionate, and collaborative space where clients find direction to problems that may seem unmanageable.

My passion include helping clients with depression and trauma backgrounds, substance abuse histories, spiritual concerns, and men's issues. I also work well with Asian-Americans and other racial minorities. My techniques range from self-empowerment, finding a strong self-care regimen, and a chapter from a good self-help book in between sessions.

Over 10 years ago I decided to leave the engineering field and dedicated my time to helping others. Since then I've worked with students at universities and public schools, and with adults in inpatient and outpatient mental health centers, employee assistance programs, and crisis telephone hotlines.

I am a strong believer in self-care for my clients. Here's what I engage in around Baltimore City - movies at an independent cinema, reading at a local coffee shop, and exercising to podcasts.
