Maryland Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, #2836

National Certified Counselor, #889588

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and have been working in the mental health field for over 15 years. Prior to coming on board at New Perspectives, I worked with children, adolescents, and adults in various settings such as inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, residential treatment, Veterans Affairs intensive outpatient programs, in-home behavioral intervention, and outpatient clinics. Through my experience, I have encountered hundreds of trauma survivors who have been motivated to start the healing process. These survivors prompted me to learn more about the impact of trauma, post-traumatic growth, and self-destructive behaviors. It has been a true honor to learn from my clients. At this time, my therapy style includes a unique blend of psychodynamic work, expressive arts, DBT, mindfulness, motivational counseling, and internal family systems theory. In addition to seeing clients, I am proud to be the owner of New Perspectives. On a personal note, I have been working in the physical fitness industry since 2005 and currently coach CrossFit. I truly believe that mental and physical health go “hand and hand.” When the mind is healthy, the body follows suit.
