About Me
Jessica LeTourneau, LCPC, MA, is a Maryland Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 20 years of clinical experience specializing in trauma treatment for firefighters, EMS, law enforcement, dispatchers, and military personnel. She is the CEO of New Perspectives, LLC, a multi-location group practice in Maryland, where she leads a team of 30 licensed clinicians and provides advanced clinical supervision, consultation, and direct care to emergency service professionals.
Jessica’s career spans inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment programs, Veterans Affairs intensive outpatient services, domestic violence and sexual assault programs, in-home behavioral intervention, managed care utilization review, and outpatient clinical settings. This breadth of experience gives her a systems-level understanding of trauma care across the continuum—from acute crisis to long-term recovery.
Her clinical and educational work is grounded in evidence-based, trauma-focused, and neuroscience-informed modalities, including EMDR, Brainspotting, Polyvagal Theory, somatic resourcing, attachment theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and motivational approaches. She is known for a direct, strength-based teaching style that translates complex neurobiological concepts into practical, culturally competent strategies tailored to high-risk, high-responsibility professions.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Jessica brings over 15 years of experience in health and fitness as a CrossFit coach, personal trainer, and group fitness instructor. This background strongly informs her integrative philosophy that mental and physical health are inseparable, particularly for emergency service professionals whose nervous systems are shaped by chronic exposure to threat, responsibility, and performance demands.
Through her clinical practice, leadership, and education, Jessica is dedicated to advancing culturally competent, biologically informed trauma care that honors the realities of service, restores nervous system regulation, and supports sustainable well-being for those who serve on the front lines.
Please note that Jessica only accepts new referrals for First Responders, Law Enforcement, and Military Veterans/Service Members. Appointments are Telehealth only. For couples therapy or child/adolescent counselors, please refer to another New Perspectives provider.
