About Me

Welcome to New Perspectives.  For a few decades I have had a dual career as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a board-certified hospital chaplain.  As a therapist I approach others with a quiet presence where you are with your strength and vulnerability.  I accompany clients with depression, anxiety, adjustment to life changes, illness, grief, fear, caregiving and loss as well as relationship stress.  I assist in healthy choice-making that enables hope to emerge out of emotional pain and impasse. I use psychodynamic, CBT/DBT, solution-focused therapy approaches to help in discovering new possibilities within self and relationships. I work with adults and couples, companioning my clients towards healthier living and flourishing. Each person’s experience, values, struggle, goals and spirituality are respected for their uniqueness towards growth, beyond life- limiting circumstances. It has always been a privilege to companion another along the path of wholeness.

My BA, MS, CAS in the field of counseling psychology were achieved at Loyola University Maryland.  My MA was received from The Ecumenical Institute at St Mary’s Seminary in Theology.

I am an LCPC Md #LC0632 as well as a Clinical Supervisor of LCPCs in Maryland. I hold professional membership in Association of Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) as therapist and chaplain.

My living and loving thrives on faith, family and friends as well as gardening, reading and discovering new restaurants.
